Step on One's Toes
DEFINITION: To take over someone's role or responsibilities when they do not want you to - often unintentionally.

EXAMPLE: I think I'm too new to be put in charge of the meeting. I wouldn't want to step on anyone's toes.
"I am happy to recommend you as the editor of choice for our students."
