Sweep Under the Rug/Carpet
DEFINITION: To hide a situation or secret.

EXAMPLE: When I co-signed for his lease, I never thought he would break it and leave me with the bill! Fortunately, the secretary was really nice and told me she'd try to sweep it under the rug so I wouldn't have to pay for it.
