Cut Corners
DEFINITION: To compromise quality for ways to satisfactorily complete a project in a more cost- or time-effective manner.

EXAMPLE: I should have hired a different contractor when I built my house. I made the mistake of hiring the lowest bidder who cut a lot of corners.
