(A) Bun in the Oven

DEFINITION: Saying that someone "has a bun in the oven" means that she is pregnant. This idiom is often used in either a teasing or a negative way.

EXAMPLE:

Negative - It's just like Jody to have another bun in the oven.

Positive teasing - With as many pickles as you've been eating, I'd guess you have a bun in the oven if I didn't know better!
