Pulling One's Leg
DEFINITION: When you "pull someone's leg," you tease them - you are not serious about what you say or do.
EXAMPLE: Did you really think that the teacher had moved the test earlier!? I'm sorry, man, I was just pulling your leg! |
"I was so impressed with the complimentary review that was completed by [one of your editors] that my son and I have decided to use your services to check his fall term papers. In addition, I plan to recommend your company to other students - I am a college administrator and have lots of student contact. Thanks again for your help. "
