All Bark and No Bite
DEFINITION: If a person or animal is "all bark but no bite," its demeanor is intimidating, but it is not a real threat to your safety.

EXAMPLE: I know Devon yelled at your when you hit his car, but you don't need to worry. He's all bark and no bite.
"Thank you very much! I would not have reached here [completing my dissertation] without your help."
