DEFINITION: If an issue caused problems but all parties have agreed to put it in their pasts, it is considered "water under the bridge" and is no longer an issue.

EXAMPLE: Although I thought Vivian would still be angry at me for beating her in our high school's election for class president, she assured me that it was water under the bridge.
