Rest on One's Laurels
DEFINITION: To be known for a past achievement without active attempts to achieve future successes.

EXAMPLE: My son was senior class president in high school, but now that he's in college, he seems to think he can just take it easy and rest on his laurels. Boy, is he ever in for a surprise!
