Chin Up
DEFINITION: When you tell someone, "keep your chin up," you may be indicating any of a few possibilities. "Keep your chin up" means the person should not feel discouraged, depressed, or hopeless. When a person keeps their chin down and toward their body, they may have a low sense of self-esteem, feel insecure, and/or be engaged in negative thoughts.

A chin up is also a type of exercise; when you do a chin up, you use your arms to lift your body until your chin reaches a certain point, usually a bar.
